No fewer than thirty-nine (39) students of the
total of 386 graduating students have earned first class degrees as
Landmark University graduated it's first set of students last Saturday.
The
Chancellor of the institution, Bishop David Oyedepo, announced the
impressive grades at the institution's first ever convocation last
Saturday.
Oyedepo said 386 students graduated in
the 2013/2014 academic session, out of which 39 students graduated in
first class, 186 in the second class Upper, 152 in the second class
Lower and nine in the third class.
Oyedepo described the graduating students as 'pathfinders' who have been 'specially equipped' to effect change in Nigeria.
“We
are releasing this set of pathfinders also as highly employable
graduates, having been specially equipped as productive human resources
entities.
“These graduates have run through a
unique education mill and have been equipped with required leadership
skills to become agents of change in the leadership that awaits them,”
Oyedepo said.
This means that the institution recorded an enviable 10% 1st class rate and 48% 2nd Class Upper performance.
Landmark University is a private University established by the Living Faith Church World Wide.
