the Chief Executive Officer, Kingsfold
International Academy, Mrs. Oyindamola Sonola, has said that the school
will raise leaders who will be the future ambassadors of the country.
Sonola said this at the recent inauguration of the school in Ikorodu,
Lagos. The educationist also urged the government to continually make
the recovery of the Chibok girls a priority.
“We must not forget these girls. I
advise the government to focus on strategies through which the girls can
be brought back safely. In line with the vision and mission of
Kingsfold International Academy as a school, our facilities as well as
staff personnel all point to the fact that we desire to raise highly
creative leaders who would then take the culture imbibed from us into
the larger society.’’
The launch of the school, which
coincided with the graduation of participants of the Kingsfold
Leadership Summer Camp, witnessed various exhibitions and displays from
the pupils.
A pastor of the Foursquare Church,
Pastor David Johnson, urged parents to cooperate with the school to give
the best of academic and moral excellence to the pupils.
“This is not a task for the school
alone. Parents must never think of abdicating their responsibilities to
school authorities. Making sure that homework is done and inculcating
sound morals is also part of parenting. Let us join hands to make the
future of the country great because these children are the leaders of
tomorrow,’’ he said.
