EFCC Arraign Two for $91,000 Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, on Friday, September
26, 2014 arraigned Dandeson Ebosele
Ibhonitie, 26, (a.k.a Dandy James, Connor
Mead and Barrister Louis Harpoch and
Ohiwerei Charity, 31, before Justice E. F.
Ikponmwen of Edo State High Court, Benin-
City on a 3- count charge bordering on
conspiracy and obtaining money by false
pretence.
Ibhonitie and Charity allegedly belong to the
group of fraudsters using the internet to
defraud unsuspecting victims.
Ibhonitie allegedly defrauded one Mrs. Weidman
Andrea Sabrie, a German, of the sum of $ 91,000
(Ninety-One Thousand United States Dollars) by
pretending to be an American working in Nigeria
for a road construction company.
To access the proceeds of the fraud, Ibhonitie
allegedly opened a domiciliary account in the
name of one Mr. Steven. He entered into an
agreement with Charity, the account officer that
opened the account for him, on how the proceeds
from the crime will be shared. By the
arrangement, Charity was to keep 3 percent of
every inflow to herself while 7 percent will go to
Ibhonitie. The remaining 90 percent, by the
arrangement, went to Steven. However,
investigations showed that Ibhonitie was the
same as Steven.
When the charges were read to them, they
pleaded not guilty.
One of the counts read:
"Dandeson Ebosele Ibhonitie (a.k.a Dandy
James, Connor Mead, Barrister Louis Harpoch,
Brett Francis Steven (still at large) and Ohiwerei
Charity on or about the 2nd day of April, 2014 at
Benin within the Benin judicial division, with
intent to defraud obtained the sum of USD
45,000.00(Forty Five Thousand United State
Dollars) from Mrs. Weidman Andrea Sabrie, a
German national through Skye Bank of Nigeria
Limited Account No: 2520346555 in the name of
Dandy James by falsely pretending to her that
the said sum of money represented legal fee for
Barrister Louis Harpoch for your defense which
pretence you knew to be false".
In view of their pleas, prosecuting counsel,
Ayokunle Fayanju, prayed the court for a trial
date. He also opposed the bail applications of
the defendants.
Justice Ikponmwen adjourned the matter till
August, 30, 2014 for hearing of bail applications
and ordered that the defendants be remanded in
prison custody.

Meet the two children saved by Clay & Lamboginny Living Projec

14 year-old Aminu Alhaji and nine year-old
Dorcas Oladuni are the first beneficiaries of the
Clay-Lamboginny Living Project, which is aimed
at facilitating surgeries for under privilege kids
across Nigeria.
Since a tragic accident on his way to purchase
pure water for hawking in order to survive, Aminu
Alhaji has been unable to pass urine with his
private organs and has been at a ward of the
General hospital Lagos for the pass two years.
At a tender age, his life has been a challenging
one with the loss of his parents and separation
from his siblings during the Kaduna crisis.
Aminu has been diagnosed with Urethral
Lateralization Structure as the accident initially
robbed him of his ability to excrete both feces
and urine but due to the kindness of the hospital
several operations had been carried out which
restored his ability to pass feces but he currently
has to carry a urine bag about as he cannot
urinate and would need to undergo another
urethral Structure Repair but has no one to foot
his bills.
The above picture of Dorcas Odunlami is really a
sight for sorry eyes. She has her large intestines,
which are bagged and taped, to her stomach.
Her inability to pass feces through the right
channel is as a result of Hirschproy disease. She
has undergone several surgeries (colostomy, pull
through surgery) and currently her mother is
unable to afford any more medical procedure,
which left her at the hospital since January
2014.
These kids are two out of thousands of Nigerian
Kids whose lives are rolling by before their eyes
due to medical issues that can be easily paid for
and carried out successfully in Nigeria.
The Clay-Lamboginny Living Project will not only
cover their medical bills, but the duo of Aminu
and Dorcas have become the fortunate
beneficiaries of the Clay-Lamboginny Scholarship
award for two under-privileged kids.
At 14, Aminu’s highest level of education was
stopped at Primary 4 while Dorcas was in
Primary 2 before her condition halted her
schooling. With the support of the Welfare
Department of the General Hospital, Lagos,
Aminu will be placed at an orphanage and both
kids will be given an opportunity after their
surgeries to continue their education up to to the
tertiary level.
For Dorcas and Aminu the light of hope has
come to shine on them, through the living
Project. There is so much more that can be
done, as investing in a child’s life is an
investment into the future. Listen and download

Pro-Ayo Fayose thugs allegedly beat up Judge in Ekiti State

Pandemonium broke out this morning at the Ekiti
state High court after a judge, Justice John
Adeyeye, was allegedly beaten up by thugs
believed to be loyal to Governor-elect, Ayo
Fayose, for allegedly being rude to him.
According to Premium Times, Fayose arrived the
court house in company of about twenty of his
'supporters' for the Ekiti State Governorship
Election petition tribunal which was to hold
today.
The judge, seeing the number of supporters that
accompanied Fayose to the court house asked
him to direct them outside as they were not
allowed inside the court premises. This is said to
have infuriated Fayose and his supporters...
From Premium Times
An enraged Mr. Fayose was said to have
shouted the judge down. Immediately, the
thugs pounced on Justice Adeyeye, beat
him up and tore his clothes, while his co
workers scampered and shouted for help.
Following the development, judicial workers
hurriedly shut down the court premises
thereby preventing any court proceeding for
hours before the police fired tear gas
canisters to disperse the surging crowd.
Justice Adeyeye is presently receiving
treatment at a private hospital in Ado-Ekiti.
A similar scenario had played out on
Monday when suspected PDP thugs
stormed the high court premises, attacked
the trial judge, some litigants and judicial
workers in the bid to prevent hearing in a
case to determine Mr. Fayose’s eligibility
for the June 21 governorship election. Mr.
Fayose could not be reached on Thursday
morning. He did not answer or return calls
to his mobile telephone.

N400 ‘won’ N7,560,040.82million from Surebet247

Top Nigerian bookmaker posted around
N7,560,040.82 million in operating losses as they
had one of the worst weekends since the new
season starts on a single ticket following a
string of unexpected draw ( X ) outcome results.
A host of online/retail punters were left laughing
all the way to the bank after 8 League sides all
drew their weekend’s matches, causing a great
deal of rich accumulators winning.
This has seen bettors, land payouts well in
excess of 23 million naira for very low stakes,
causing Surebet247 bookmaker to call the
previous weekend one of the worst seen in the
new EPL season,” spokesman Ahmed Jokotoye
said.
This just goes to show that online/retail punters
can beat bookmakers in their own game, and
even if these kind of weekends do not happen
too often, it is certainly good to know that even
betting on football favourites can see you turn a
nice profit especially when you bet with a
company who has a BIG POCKET FOR WINNINGS
like SUREBET247.

Father Quits $2 Trillion Firm After 10-Year Daughter Notes That He Missed 22 Landmark Events In Her Life

A top international financier quit his job running a
$2 trillion investment fund after his daughter
wrote him a note complaining he had missed her
first day of school, her Halloween parade and her
first game of soccer.
Mohamed El-Erian's daughter wrote him a note
complaining that he had missed out on 22
landmarks in her life because he was too busy at
work.
The California based investment guru resigned
from Pimco, who have more than $2 trillion
invested, after his daughter sent him a note
outlining 22 milestones he had missed from her
life.
After receiving the letter from the 10-year-old, El-
Erian handed in his notice which was a shock to
the investment world.
In an interview with Worth , El-Erian explained his
decision.
He said, 'About a year ago, I asked my daughter
several times to do something—brush her teeth, I
think it was—with no success. I reminded her that
it was not so long ago that she would have
immediately responded, and I wouldn’t have had
to ask her multiple times; she would have known
from my tone of voice that I was serious.
'She asked me to wait a minute, went to her
room and came back with a piece of paper. It
was a list that she had compiled of her important
events and activities that I had missed due to
work commitments.Talk about a wake-up call.
'The list contained 22 items, from her first day at
school and first soccer match of the season to a
parent-teacher meeting and a Halloween parade.
And the school year wasn’t yet over.I felt awful
and got defensive: I had a good excuse for each
missed event! Travel, important meetings, an
urgent phone call, sudden to-do.
'But it dawned on me that I was missing an
infinitely more important point. As much as I
could rationalize it—as I had rationalized it—my
work-life balance had gotten way out of whack,
and the imbalance was hurting my very special
relationship with my daughter. I was not making
nearly enough time for her.'
El-Erian said he was spending far too much time
away from his home while working for PIMCO.
Since resigning, he said he and his wife take
turns in waking up their daughter, preparing her
breakfast and bringing her to school.
He said he is also planning a holiday just for the
pair of them.
El-Erian said instead of one, full-time position, he
has taken a 'portfolio' of part-time roles which
require far less travelling and allow him greater
flexibility.
He said that he even now had time to pick up his
daughter from school.
Speaking to Bloomberg after his resignation, El-
Erian said, ' I've gone through a transition after
14 great years with Pimco and I've put together a
portfolio of part-time activities that I'm really
excited about. I'm also really excited to spend
more time with my family and my daughter.'
He later told Reuters, 'If I had known that there
would be this media circus, I would've done a lot
of things differently.
'Was there a way of not going 100 miles an hour
and maybe going 50 miles an hour? To be
perfectly honest, I didn't explore that option. I
never explored.'
El-Erian said wanting to spend more time with
his family is a cliche but he decided that his need
to be a good father was greater than his desire to
be a good investor.'
He decided that he had to readjust his work-life
balance in May 2013 after receiving the note from
his daughter.
In an interview with Reuters, El-Erian refused to
comment on his former boss Bill Gross, only
describing the 70-year-old as brilliant.
Since leaving Pimco, El-Erian has become the
chief economic adviser at Allianz where he
spends 50 per cent of his time.

2 UNILORIN Students Land Bank Of America Jobs After Internship

While many Nigerian students are languishing in
the faltering Nigerian education system and
graduates are scouring the labour markets, two
students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
have been given permanent employment by the
the Bank of America Merrill Lynch, London.
The students, Abeeb Adebayo and Ajoke
Ogunshola, had undergone a nine-week
internship training programme with the Bank, one
of the world’s top financial institutions, Unilorin
Bulletin reports..
Both in their final year, Adebayo is an Accounting
student while Ogunsola is a student in the
Department of Counsellor Education.
As 'Campus Ambassadors' They had been
selected for the 2014 summer undergraduate
internship programme.
It was not an easy path to success, Ongunsola
told Unilorin Bulletin.
“In my intern class, we were close to 200 from
different continents of the world; Nigeria and
Ghana represented Africa," she said
"Students were selected from the best five
universities in each of these countries in order to
meet the standard.”
She added that UNILORIN played a big role in
making her what she is.
" I think if I have not been in this kind of
environment, I might not have been able to do
so well because the challenges came and we are
able to deal with it and above all, the University
of Ilorin has a disciplined environment.
Her fellow ex-intern, Adebayo said the experience
would last him a lifetime.
“I gained a lot of experience that I wouldn’t have
learnt in the four walls of the classroom; an
experience that would last me a lifetime.
This news will do a lot to support UNILORIN's
case that it is the best University in Nigeria.
This point was noted by the Dean of Student
Affairs, Prof. Abayomi Omotesho.
“I think they have portrayed the University well
that they can compete with their peers anywhere;
for them to have gone from this relatively
backward background –talking about the
infrastructure in the country, and to have
performed so well," Omotesho said.
"They have placed the name of the University on
the world map, I am sure Merrill Lynch will be
very willing in the future to take more interns
from the University.”
According to the 2014 UNIVERSITY WEB
RANKINGS » for Africa released by International
Colleges and Universities (ICU) UNILORIN was
20th in Africa bust number 1 in Nigeria.
The internship programme targets
undergraduates with a Flair for Finance,
regardless of the courses they are currently
studying.

My Lagos Story! Story Of A Jos Boy In Lagos: Night Bus Experience

Jesu! AH! Driver easy ooo, You wan kill us abi?
Wetin dey worry this driver sef? Passengers
yelling on top of their voices as the luxurious bus
driver speed away into the night till the break of
dawn.
On the 13 September, 2014, I traveled down to
Kaduna State, Nigeria for my friend Akumy, since
he was passing out from the Nigerian Defence
Academy, Kaduna. I decided to use the luxurious
bus transport system for the first time in my life
and I sure had a crazy experience as I journeyed
through the night back to Lagos.
Take off time was set for 7:30pm but we left the
park some few minutes past 9pm because the
workers wanted to get extra passengers in the
bus. Aside the 60 seated passengers, the workers
wanted to fit in some other passengers who paid
less than the fixed fare to sit on the aisle as
“attachments”.
I boarded the popular “young shall grow” motors
with the knowledge of how amazing their
“luxurious” buses were, when my older siblings
patronized them back in those days. About
20mins into the journey, the gears (shift) failed
to engage, which made the driver request for a
replacement bus that the passengers could board
in to. After agreeing to transfer ourselves and
our luggage's was when we realized the bus
looked and sounded older than 20 years. The
body was refurbished and repainted to make it
look recent, but the interior? na...na...na...na it
couldn't hide its age.
The engine sound was loud and smokey, the
interior was so old, my seat could not be relaxed,
the arm rest was broken and the seat was
smelling. Yes! I almost forgot, we had 2 of
somethings that looked like a televisions but it
was a 13inch screen in a box. Unfortunately, it
wasn't turned on, so I couldn't tell if it was
black and white or colored.
The scariest part of the journey was when our
driver attempted to over-take a fuel tanker but
instead, the bus skied out of the road twice; first
was to the shoulder and then at second attempt
to over take, the driver had to apply the
Automatic Breaking System (ABS) to break the
top speed the bus was into and then, into the
thick bush beside the road somewhere between
Ibadan and Lagos. Which was because the
tanker driver swapped into our lane in order to
hinder the bus driver from overtaking. Instantly,
there were screams of prayers and insults flying
above the seats to God and d driver
simultaneously from the passengers.
A few kilometers ahead , just after successfully
halting the huge bus (which I appreciate the
driver for), a small Opel car that looked like a
taxi ran into the front tire of the bus. At impact,
he damaged the headlamps and radiator
instantly, while the bus was trying to make a U-
turn in front of Nigerian Brewery factory, Ibadan ,
Oyo State. Our bus driver drove away after the
hit, which, aroused anger from the ''agbero's''
who witnessed the incident. They came on a
bike, halted our bus and made it reverse back to
the its terminal. After waiting for about
30minutes for the case to be settled, we took off
once again and at about 10:30am we finally
arrived at the bus stop in Ojota, Lagos State,
Nigeria.
Well, If everything happened as planned, we
should have arrived at the early hours of the
morning. Hence I resolved never to try that
again.
I guess you might say my experience wasn't as
bad as yours. Well, feel free to share with me on
your own night journey experience.

Muslim Youths Beat Up Principal, Teachers, Students To Pulp Over No-Hijab Policy

The new education policy in Osun State
claimed its first casualty on Monday as fierce-
looking Muslim youths invaded the Baptist
High School, Ejigbo, and beat up the students
and teachers.
The principal of the school, Mr. Layi Oguntola,
was thoroughly beaten and injured. Oguntola,
as of the time of this report, was said to be
receiving treatment at the Baptist Medical
Centre, Ejigbo.
The attackers said they came because the
school authorities stopped some Muslim pupils
from wearing the hijab.
The hijab is a scarf that covers the head and
chest, specially worn by a Muslim female.
Our correspondent learnt that the attackers
stormed the school while the students were
already seated in their classrooms.
They were said to have headed straight for the
Principal’s Office and asked Oguntola to
apologise for sending the hijab-wearing
students away from school but the principal
refused to do so.
There have been protests when the Governor
Rauf Aregbesola administration recently
introduced a new education policy, which
entails merger and reclassification of schools in
the state.
The Baptist conference specifically said it
would not allow hijab-wearing students in its
schools.
On Monday, the attacked students and
teachers were said to have run for refuge at
the palace of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba
Omowonuola Oyesosin. The monarch was also
said to have been instrumental to the rescue
of the wounded principal from the attackers,
made up of mostly youths.
The attack forced the Baptist High School and
other schools in the town to close abruptly for
the day as police were deployed in the town to
forestall reprisal.
Some Muslim students of the school were said
to have been turned back last week for
wearing hijab on their uniforms and their
parents were said to have reported the case to
members of an Islamic sect in the town.
Tension started building in the town following
the attack and the speculations that the
attackers were also planning to set ablaze the
United Baptist Church, close to the school.
Some Christian youths were also said to have
mobilised to defend the church.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state,
Mrs. Folasade Odoro, when contacted, said she
would find out the details of the incident and
get back to our correspondent.
Commissioner for Information, Mr. Sunday
Akere, confirmed the incident, which he
described as an unfortunate one.
He appealed to the people of the state to shun
violence, saying the state government in
collaboration with security agencies would
investigate and get to the root of the matter.
He said, “It is unfortunate that this happened
at a time when we are already achieving peace
in the area of schools reclassification.
“We are calling on all religious leaders and
stakeholders to refrain from taking steps which
could lead to the breakdown of law and order

Synagogue: Why We Haven't Held Anyone Accountable - Lagos Govt

In light of allegations by some especially
journalist Nicolas Ibekwe ,that Lagos State
governor is conniving with TB Joshua and not
holding him accountable, the state government
held a press conference to explain their
stance.Commissioner for Information and
Strategy, Mr. Aderemi Ibirogba and the Special
Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Hakeem
Bello, appealed to the media for
understanding . They said
“We are all aware that the Federal Government
has set up a committee, what we are saying is
that in order for us not to pre-empt that
committee and hold anyone responsible the
best thing is for us to put this conference on
hold.Agencies of government are working
together so that at the end of the day we will
have a comprehensive report. Before that is
out, it will not be right for us to tell you the
situation. We know that time is of essence here
and I believe the committee will work within
the shortest time possible. For all your
questions and concerns, I believe the
comprehensive report will be exhaustive”

NOT AGAIN! Tony Tetuila Announces His Intention To Go Into Politics, Poster Out

About 12/13 years ago, Tony Tetuila was one
of the hottest music stars in Nigeria. He hasn't
done much music of late but has managed to
keep himself relevant. In what is a major
surprise, singer Tony Tetuila has announced
his decision to enter politics. Though the
authenticity of the report is unsure, a
campaign poster shows the My Car singer
running for a Kwara State House of Assembly
seat.
The poster also bears the photos of current
Kwara state governor Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed,
and ex governor Bukola Saraki, even though
he’s contesting under the umbrella of the APC.
My concern is if all these people from the
music and film industry goes into politics, who
will entertain us ?

The rise and rise of 'Runtown'

The name Douglas Jack Agu might not strike a
chord, but the moment you mention the name
‘RunTown’ you instantly relate the name with
the remarkable success of one of Nigeria’s
fastest rising pop sensations who has broken
several boundaries in the music industry within a
very short period of time, and he doesn’t seem
to slowing down anytime soon.
Runtown was born In Enugu state on the 19th of
August 1989, he grew up partly in Abuja and
Lagos where he had most of his primary
education. Shortly after the death of his dad, he
relocated to Abuja and in 2007, he wrote his
W.A.E.C examinations in Enugu state where his
paths crossed with that of indigenous rapper
Phyno.
Fast forward to 2014, Runtown has several chart
topping songs which includes his monster hit
collaboration with Davido on the song titled
‘Gallardo’, ‘Succesfull’ and his latest effort ‘Baby
Answer’.
Prior the release of Gallardo, Runtown has kept
his hustle going as an underground artiste
working with top notch acts, he featured on J
Martins second album on the 5th track titled
“Tonight”, and he went on to drop his very first
sing ‘Party Like It’s 1980’ (Kinorbor) in 2010,
the song was popular but the artiste didn’t get
known. Determined to make an impact, Runtown
kept on recording new songs and in
2014  he inked a multi-million Naira recording
deal with Ericmany Entertainment owned by the

T.B. Joshua’s alleged bribe: The truth - written by journalist Simon Ateba

Simon Ateba is a reporter with PM News. In his
piece, Ateba said as long as Nigerian journalists
are not paid well, they will continue to accept
'bribe'. Read his thought provoking piece
below...
People have been asking me, “Simon , were
you at that press conference on 14
September where Prophet T.B. Joshua
allegedly gave N50,000 to journalists to
write a positive story on the building
collapse that killed many people?”, my
answer is always the same.
I was not at that event, I do not know if he
gave a bribe, I do not know if it was
N50,000, and cannot comment on it. But I
do not feel better or more righteous in any
way than those who might have collected
anything, if money was given.
The truth is this, as long as journalists in Nigeria
are not paid for months or are given irregular
crummy salaries, as long as they are not
insured, as long as publishers pocket all the
corrupt money they get in the forms of adverts or
special reports from corrupt politicians, and as
long as Nigerians refuse to spend their money on
newspapers, which push publishers to solicit
money from politicians who have pocketed
everything, many journalists will continue to
accept gifts, bribes or whatever you call it.
I understand that foreign journalists at the event
and a Nigerian journalist allegedly rejected the
money. I am happy they allegedly did and that’s
where the profession should be. That’s the ideal
we all want. But that’s not where we are.
Most journalists in Nigeria have no insurance.
Many newspapers in Nigeria have not paid their
reporters for months, some even a year, including
those newspapers that are even getting those
corrupt advert money from government officials.
A CNN, Reuters, Associated Press or BBC
journalist will surely die if he was not paid for
one year, had no insurance, no house to live in,
and no friend to support him.
And many former journalists who are now
successful and even the society at large, are
very wicked. They see a journalist who is striving
to stand out, who wants to be objective and
unbiased, they watch him as life challenges
crush him to death. No car, no house, no
savings, nothing to show for 20 years of work.
And when such a journalist accepts a gift, the
same society says, look at him, he’s corrupt.
He’s biased. He’s unethical.
But the same society screaming does not buy
newspapers, they prefer to spend all their money
on drinks, cigarettes, clothes, bags and cars but
demand and expect higher standards from the
media. So I am sorry to say it won’t happen.
The society is hypocritical and the media
industry is sick. But until there’s a shift, nothing
will change.
You can say these are just excuses. You may
even add that the media should be our
conscience, and only truth is acceptable. You will
be passing a superficial judgement, because you
cannot just should look at corruption in the
media without understanding why the rot is so
deep and the change so hard.
You must understand that it is the product of a
failed society. A corrupt government, a corrupt
judiciary, a corrupt police force, a corrupt army, a
corrupt civil society, a corrupt banking and
financial system, a corrupt educational system, a
corrupt political system, in summary, it is the
product of a failed country that does nothing
when journalists are not paid for months or are
left to wallow in poverty after serving their
nations for 20 years.
I used to know a journalist who passed on after
working for his company for many years in
Lagos, and his wife was given only one month
salary to take care of herself and their kids. I
guess, this, certainly, is not the future we all
envisaged after graduating with a First Class at
the University.
My rambling is getting too long. Let me
summarise.
The journalist who leaked the alleged bribery to
the public claimed that he did so because
journalists were too soft on Prophet T.B. Joshua
and were not reporting the truth.
Hear him: “I observed that Nigerian media were
being too gentle on TB Joshua despite the
glaring irregularities surrounding the collapse. I
read more reports about the “hovering craft” and
how Boko Haram could have sabotaged the
building.
“Very little was reported about the structural
defects of the building. Not much was written
about the fact that the building originally had 2
floors and was being illegally refurbished with 4
additional floors when it collapsed. We didn’t
come hard on the Synagogue Church goons who
attacked first responders. We didn’t highlight the
fact that many of those that perished could have
been saved if NEMA officials weren’t barred from
the site for almost three days! We didn’t make
an issue of the fact that our colleagues who had
gone to report the collapsed building were
molested on Saturday.”
Of course, you all know that these are lies. What
he’s saying is not factual. Or maybe he did not
read reporting of the building collapse enough.
On 15 September, the day after the alleged bribe
was given to journalists, P.M.NEWS published
this editorial: http://
www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2014/09/15/the-
synagogue-tragedy/ . You can read it yourself
and let me know if it looked like they were being
soft on T.B. Joshua or hiding the facts.
The 20-year old newspaper said in that editorial:
“Perhaps most of the dead victims would have
been rescued alive if the church staff and people
perceived as thugs did not prevent officials of
the National Emergency Management Agency,
NEMA, from carrying out rescue operations
immediately the building crumbled.
Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, had
to intervene by visitting the scene of the disaster
and ordering the church staff to leave  the site
before rescue work could start in earnest.”
The newspaper concluded it editorial by saying:
“We must go beyond speculation to serious
investigation to unravel the facts and prevent
future tragedies of this magnitude. Those who
are found wanting should be made to face the
full wrath of the law.”
Does that look like a newspaper trying to protect
T.B. Joshua or that did not care about the dead?
Of course not.
But that was not all. the same day, the cover
story of P.M.NEWS in Lagos read: “Boko Haram
Attack: Nigerians Blast T.B. Joshua”.
The lead or the first paragraph of that story
read: “Nigerians have blasted Prophet T.B.
Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations
for claiming that Boko Islamist sect might have
brought down a six-storey building in his church
that has killed more than 40 people.”
That front page story was published on 15
September. Does it look like people who were
buying the story of a jet hovering over the
building before it came down?
These examples were just from P.M.NEWS. It
was the same thing for The Punch, The Nation,
Vanguard, The Sun, ThisDay, Tribune, The New
Telegraph, TheNews Magazine, and even TVC
and Channels TV, as well as other television and
radio stations.
So it is not factual to say that Nigerian
journalists were being soft on T.B. Joshua or
were hiding the facts. It is simply a lie.
If Nigerian journalists collected the money, they
did so because of a sick industry, a failed state
and the reasons I mentioned above. But the
money certainly did not change the facts. And
we all knew the facts even before the audio was
leaked last week.
One thing I can say is that until investigation is
conducted and concluded, no one can claim to
know exactly what led to the building collapse. It
will just be ranting, and rambling that lead to
semantic noise but nothing evidential or
concrete.
I can say more, and go on and on, but for now,
it’s time to mourn the dead. May their souls rest
in peace.

'It feels cool to be a grand mother' - actress Shan George says

Actress Shan George became a grandmother on
Sept. 6th after her first son welcomed a daughter
with his girlfriend. Shan, who is in her mid 40s,
says she's thrilled to be a grandmother.
Speaking to Encomium mag this week, the
mother of 2 boys says it feels good to have
another girl in their family
"It feels really cool, especially the fact that
I gave birth to all boys, now I have a girl. I
was happy when my son told me about his
girl being pregnant. Children are a beautiful
gift from God.
The best thing about me being a
grandmother is the fact that as a Christian,
God’s promise of keeping me alive to see
my children’s children has been fulfilled."

Amber Rose broke up with Wiz Khalifa because of Nick Cannon?

Hours Before TMZ broke the news that Amber
Rose had filed for divorce from rapper Wiz
Khalifa, MediaTakeOut had published a report
where they claimed that Amber was about to
leave her husband for newly single Nick Cannon
who she'd been obsessed with for years. Read
the report below and see if you believe it...
There was a lot of speculation last week
when Nick Cannon announced that he was
managing Amber Rose. Well according to a
close friend of Amber Rose - it ain't just
speculation.
According to a very reliable insider, Amber
is separating with her longtime husband
Wiz Khalifah. And that separation is caused,
at least in part, by the fact that she's fallen
for Nick Cannon.
The insider told MediaTakeOut.com
EXCLUSIVELY, "Amber has had a crush on Nick
since forever. He was like a mentor to her, and I
think she fell in love."
But the insider claims that NOTHING ever came
of it while Nick was married to Mariah. The
insider explained, "Nick was faithful to Mariah,
and Amber was with Wiz so nothing came out of
it. Then Amber got pregnant and the two just ind
of drifted apart. . . . But when Nick [and Mariah]
broke up, they connected."
MediaTakeOut.com reported LAST MONTH that
Wiz and Amber's marriage was in SHAMBLES -
so much so that Wiz went on TWITTER to blast
his wife. The insider added, "I think Amber is
ready to move on with her life. And Nick is the
man she wants to move on with." Amber was
spotted out yesterday WITHOUT her wedding
ring.
We have to say it - as SAD AS IT IS TO HEAR
ABOUT THEIR MARRIAGE FAILING - we LOVE the
idea of Nick and Amber together. Sorry but Wiz
Khalifah's career is on the DOWN SIDE. And we
all know that Amber's ABOUT THAT COME UP,
so she's gonna be OUTTA THERE one way or
the other.
Nick and Amber are like the new Ice T and CoCo
to us . . . two HUSTLERS that are gonna be
making MONEY and MAGAZINE COVERS for the
foreseeable future!!!

This may not be news but...:

1. Akon's brother and top music exec, Bu Thiam,
posted Wizkid's album art on his instagram page
2. Akon's brother described Wizkid as 'the king
of Nigeria'.
3. Davido's cousin Sinarambo had something to
say about it.
4. Davido's cousin found it hilarious
5. Like I said, it may not be news...:-)

recorded more than 10 million sales of the new

underscoring strong demand for phones with

high demand from customers after it went on

higher sales recorded than the nine million new
iPhones it sold last year in their first weekend
on sale. Speaking on the sales, a rep from
Apple said ‘The first-weekend iPhone sales
number continues to be more about how much
Apple can supply than what the demand is in
the market.’ Some market has predicted that
Apple will sell about 58 million iPhones in the

How It Feels To Be The Richest Pastor In Nigeria - Bishop Oyedepo

The General Overseer of the Living Faith
Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel) will be 60
on 27th September 2014. Recently, he spoke
to newsmen on his life at 60. Excerpts:
What do you feel when referred to as richest
Pastor ?
May I say here that God owned the silver and
the gold and he is the most holy God. If wealth
and righteousness are not the best of friends
there is no way God will be the wealthiest of
all. From his fullness we all received we are
also told that Jesus died so that through his
poverty we will be made rich and I think there
is no father who wishes his children poverty. If
God is truly a father he will not wish his
children poor and the wealth of every parent is
reflective in their children.
It is like you have developed thick skin
towards criticisms and negative publicity by
not reacting to them. Why is it so?
My understanding of opposition and
persecution is someone’s opinion harshly
expressed. Everybody has his rights to his
opinion. I don’t feel it is necessary the energy
